David is a leadership coach and branding expert.

Working both nationally and internationally with leaders around the world he has developed an ‘inside out’ and ‘outside in’ approach to coaching that combines both the personal and organisational demands in ways that work effectively.

He combines his background in business psychology, management consultancy, sales, recruitment and marketing communications with his diverse roles as Operations Manager, Human Resource Director and Chief Executive.

David is a chartered business psychologist with a degree in economics, sociology and psychology and an MSc in occupational psychology.

He is a member of the Institute of Personnel & Development, a founder member of the Association of Business Psychologists and a Freeman of the City of London.

He began his career in sales and recruitment prior to his appointment as CEO at the Institute of Employment Consultants where he developed the first examinations in Recruitment practice and Interviewing. He then was a management consultant in organisational change before becoming Head of Career Management Services at KPMG.

David then became Human Resources Director of Ogilvy and Ogilvy One London, and latterly Chief Executive of the Communications, Advertising & Marketing Foundation before setting up his own practice

He has written a number of books, the best known being ‘Brand You’ with John Purkiss, translated now into 5 languages around the world, where he shared his work on personal branding.

He has also written a book to help young people find direction in their working lives ‘How to win from the Start’ and also for those needing a new direction ‘The Career Repair Kit’.
